Procedure for Stretching an Earlobe

Step 1:
Using a well lubricated taper the hole is stretched to the next gauge.
Step 2:
The jewelry is butted to the taper and should always be the same size.
Step 3:
After a smooth transition some swelling may occur and can be soothed by saline solution or sea salt soaks.

Please be advised that these step by step views of the above procedure
are in no way intended for teaching. They are general ideas for those
of you who wonder how it's done. Piercers do vary in their own style
so you may come across some differences but the basics should be the same.
